On Tuesday night, April 14, at 6:00 p.m., Ephesus Public

DeChant.  Gaillard wrote the acclaimed book Watermelon Wine:
Remembering the Golden Years of Country Music, which
explores the themes of musical rebels such as Hank Williams,
Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, and the growing divide
between country and folk music, the role of God and gospel,
and Southern rock's increasing influence.  A native of Mobile,
Alabama, Gaillard is a former Southern editor of the Charlotte
Observer and founding editor of Novello Festival Press.  He has
written 19 books and co-edited 4 literary anthologies.
Ms. DeChant is a Nashville songwriter who played the White
House during the Clinton presidency, and has opened for such
nationally renowned artists as the Indigo Girls, Stevie Nicks,
Norah Jones and many others.  Her song, "Girls and Airplanes"
is an anthem about women breaking down barriers, and has
been part of the soundtrack in 2 different films.  All are welcome
