Mr. Christopher Eric Cook, age 41, of Franklin passed away March 23, 2021.

His funeral service will be conducted Thursday April 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM from Prospect
Church with the Revs. Lynn Janney and Mark Shelnutt officiating. Interment will follow in the
Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00

Eric was born September 19, 1979 in Bedford, Texas to Samuel Jackson Cook and Connie
Elaine Bussey Cook.

He grew up in Heard County with a number of cousins and close friends he considered family.
He always wanted to do things with the older kids and developed a love of sports. He was a
diehard fan of the Auburn Tigers and loved to cheer “War Eagle!”

He adored his daughter, Annley, with all his heart and loved to watch her play ball. To provide
for her needs he owned his own business installing concrete.

He was a member of Ridgeway Church and had a deep abiding love for the Lord. For those
who knew him best, one of their most fond memories was made when he brought the sermon
for his grandfather, Amos Cook’s, funeral.

Survivors include: his wife, Brandy Awbrey Cook; daughter, Annley Elaine Cook; son, Jacob
Lee Adams (Mallory); grandchildren, Awbrey Adams and Hadlee Godfrey; parents, Sam and
Connie Cook; brother, Neil Cook; grandmother, Louise Overton Cook; father-in-law, Don
Awbrey; special nieces: Megan, Lydia, and Alexia Cook; special nephew, Bailey Cook; and a
number of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Amos Jackson Cook; grandmother, Mildred Kee;
and mother-in-law, Jackie Awbrey.
