Mr. Watson Adams, age 91, of Franklin passed away February 4, 2021.

His funeral will be held Saturday February 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at New Springs Church with
Rev. Rodney Roquemore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Those serving as pall bearers will be Robbie Bussey, Tilman Levens, Theron Levens, Doyle
Scott, Tim North, and Michael North. Honorary pall bearers will be Wendell Craven, Mike
Thompson, and Thomas Levens.

The family will accept guests at New Springs Church Saturday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00
PM prior to the service.

Mr. Adams was born July 3, 1929 in Heard County to the late Bill Watson Adams and Camilla
Eady Adams. He was a member of New Springs Church.

His first full time job was working for Callaway Mills, where he was employed for 12 years. He
then went to work for Bonnell as a dye repairman. He retired from there after 36 years of
dedicated service.

He loved to have a garden every year. In his later years his family would make sure his yard
was tilled and planted so he could enjoy working the ground during the spring and summer.

One of his favorite daily rituals was a trip to Hardees for a biscuit and coffee. He liked to sit in
his truck and eat breakfast while the cows crossed the road between pastures.

He loved to watch sports on TV. His favorite team was the Atlanta Braves, and he tuned in for
every pitch, hit and run from his hometown team.

He was known in the Simpson Community as a good neighbor who would do anything to help
anyone in their time of need.

Survivors include: one son, Rickey Adams (Cathy) of Franklin; three grandchildren: Jeffrey
Adams, Jennifer Harris, and Jessica Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-
grandchild; two sisters: Betty North and Lucille Scott; one brother, Johnny Adams (Jane); and
a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Adams, a daughter, Jill
Harris, two sisters, and three brothers.
